Veneer edging can come in a variety of sizes and thicknesses. The UV Group sells edging up to a maximum of 3mm thick.
This video shows the process used to produce thick edging. Multiple layers of veneer are bonded together to create the desired thickness. After being bonded together the edging is coiled around a cyclinder to form a roll.
Why do customers choose thick edging? One reason is that thick edging can be bevelled just like solid wood, with the added advantage that edging is cheaper, more flexible and easier to use.
